Lakelands Train Station
A quality result providing for generations to come
Lakelands Station is an integral part of the State Government’s Metronet project, aimed at enhancing public transportation in the area. Situated between the existing Mandurah and Warnbro Stations, which are 23km apart, this station offers commuters a convenient 50-minute journey to the Perth CBD.
The station comprises several key elements, including:
- Concourse (Entry) Building
- Covered Bus Exchange
- 400-bay Parking lot, and
- Two Marginal Platforms interconnected by an overpass.
- Secure Bike Facilities for cyclists.
Remarkably, the construction and commissioning of this station took place without significant disruption to the active rail line. This achievement ensured the smooth operation of train services throughout the project.
By introducing this new transport option, Lakelands Station has effectively connected the local community to both Perth and Mandurah. As a result, it has contributed to reducing the number of vehicles on the road, leading to lower carbon emissions. Moreover, it offers substantial cost savings for the public who utilize this station for their daily commuting needs.
