Fremantle City Hub Future-Proof
About the Project
The relocation of the Department of Communities from their Perth City offices to the newly constructed 5 storey building in the heart of Fremantle’s redeveloped City Hub, Kings Square, was a bold move and one that would need to provide, a comprehensive communications system fit for the future was required.
This work was completed with Broad Constructions.
Considerations
This project was important to us as it gave us a great opportunity to improve our skills and grow our Communications line of business.
The opportunity has resulted in the completion of a very successful project, with the client extremely happy with the result. Achieving the challenging delivery timeline was paramount to this success, but doing it with zero defects and a high-quality finish were of equal importance.
The Scope of Works
With a challenging delivery timeline, IET successfully installed the new structured cabling system including:
- More than 100,000m of Category 6A Cabling
- 1800 Category 6A outlets
- New backbone fibre optics
- Assembly of new Comms Rooms on each level
The finished product will ensure this government department is able to utilize the installed infrastructure for years to come.
