Reviving an Aquatic Centre
About the Project
The refurbishment of the Bold Park Aquatic Centre breathed new life into a much loved community building. Constructed in 1975. The project involved the removal and replacement of all structures and pools (except the 50m pool and seating) creating a facility that would meet the future needs of the community.
Considerations
The redevelopment included renovation and extension of the main pool, construction of a new covered leisure pool, an entry building housing the crèche, a cafe, change rooms, swim shop, pool administration facilities, and the expansion of the existing car park and entry road.
The Scope of Works
Working on sporting facilities requires considered, smart, well designed thinking. We worked with Bold Park Aquatic Centre to install and maintain the pool plant, distribution boards, area lighting, pool earthing, intelligent lighting control, BMS integration, submains, and metering and lighting control and billing systems.
